About QoS-Net
An independent managed service provider in Santa Clarita, run by someone who still does the work himself.
You get the person who does the work
QoS-Net is owned and run by Claudio Aguero, a technology executive and engineer with over thirty years in IT — the last fifteen of them serving businesses here in Santa Clarita.
Thirty years is long enough to have built networks before wireless was reliable, moved businesses to the cloud when it was still a gamble, and watched a dozen technologies arrive billed as the answer to everything. It is why we can tell you which parts of AI are worth your money now and which can wait.
We are not a national franchise. There is no call center, no offshore first line, and no script. When you call, you reach someone who knows your network and remembers your last problem — which is why clients stay seven years, ten years, fifteen years.
How we work
- Available when you are. Evenings, weekends, and on call for emergencies.
- Plain language. What is wrong, what it costs, what we recommend.
- Sized to you. A full managed plan or a monthly baseline.
- Honest about scope. If you don't need it, we will say so.
Enterprise experience, without the enterprise invoice
Claudio spent over ten years as a senior engineer at JCB USA, one of the world's largest construction and agricultural equipment manufacturers — the scale where downtime is measured in production lines, not inconvenience.
Today he serves as acting CTO for Premium Windows & Doors under contract — a QoS-Net engagement rather than a job. Technology there answers to manufacturing, sales, accounting and the executive team rather than to an IT budget line: infrastructure modernization and security, production-system enhancements, database development, commission automation, reporting, and getting operations back on their feet when something fails.
So when you explain your business, you are not translating for a technician. You are talking to someone who makes these decisions against a real budget and has to defend them to an executive team.
The track record
What we work across
Microsoft 365 · Azure · virtual desktops · networking · firewalls · virtualization · SQL Server · ERP and manufacturing systems · custom software · data integration · artificial intelligence
Understand it, verify it, build it, prove it works
Claudio stays hands-on — diagnosing the failure, writing the SQL, designing the network, pricing the options, and pushing back on vendors when a proposal does not make technical or financial sense.
Understand
Find the real problem, which is often not the one you were told about.
Verify
Check the facts before spending your money on an assumption.
Build
The right solution for your situation — not the biggest one, and not the one with the best margin.
Prove
Confirm it works in the real world, under real load, with your real staff.
The businesses that trust us with it
Different industries, one thing in common: systems where an outage is not an inconvenience, it is the day's revenue.
NetBilling
A Santa Clarita payment processor. Card-handling environments carry PCI obligations and have no tolerance for downtime — the bar for both security and uptime is set by the industry, not by us.
LNI Custom Manufacturing & Premium Windows & Doors
Production environments where IT reaches the shop floor: ERP and manufacturing systems, databases, reporting and the integrations between them. Downtime here is measured in production lines, not inconvenience. At Premium Windows & Doors the engagement extends to acting CTO under contract.
Smith Law Group (SLG)
Law firms run on confidentiality. Access control, retention and mail security are not nice-to-haves — they are professional obligations, and they have to hold up under scrutiny.
Owner-run businesses across the valley
Restaurants, retail, professional services — several with us for well over a decade. When the point-of-sale or the phones go down it is the evening's takings, so someone answers.
“They’ve got a way of making the most complex problems seem simple, and they always bring a bit of humor to the table. It’s rare to find such a great combination of expertise and personality!”
Santa Clarita and greater Los Angeles
We are based in Santa Clarita and work across the Los Angeles area and Southern California more broadly. Remote support covers most things; when it needs someone on site, we come to you.
QoS-Net is a member of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of work
Classic cars — the Porsche 911 in particular — hands-on mechanical and electrical projects, and Peñarol. The same instinct that takes an engine apart to find out why it is really running rough turns out to be useful on a network nobody can explain.
Let's find out where you actually stand
A complimentary consultation, no obligation. We will look at your setup and tell you honestly what needs attention — even if the answer is "not much."
