Who we are
QoS-Net is a managed IT and cybersecurity company in Santa Clarita, California. This policy covers qos-net.com, the email we send, our text-message program, and the tools we connect to social networks. Questions: info@qos-net.com or 1-800-556-7067.
What we collect on this website
Forms. When you use the contact form, the AI Challenge, or the AI Readiness Scorecard, we receive what you type — typically a name, email address, company, phone number and your message or answers — plus the page you were on and, if you arrived from a link with tracking tags, which campaign the link belonged to.
Chat. Messages you send to the assistant on this site are sent to us and, to generate the reply, to our AI provider (Anthropic). If you give the assistant your name, email, phone or ZIP code, we keep those so a person can follow up.
Technical data. Our web server logs the IP address, browser type and pages requested, as every web server does. We use it for security and to keep the site working; we do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or social-media pixels.
Browser storage. The site stores two small flags in your browser (whether you dismissed the review badge, and whether the assistant has already greeted you this session) so it does not repeat itself. They identify nothing about you.
What we do with it
- Reply to you and, if you asked for one, arrange a consultation.
- Keep a record of the enquiry in our own lead system so we do not lose it.
- Send you tips and updates by email only if you ticked the box asking for them, and text messages only if you ticked the separate box for texts. Those boxes are never pre-checked, and neither is required.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Email we send to businesses
We sometimes write to local businesses whose contact details are publicly listed, about something specific we noticed on their public website. Every such email carries our postal address and a one-click link that stops further email to that company. We honour it immediately.
Text messages
Text messages are sent only to people who opted in. Reply STOP to cancel at any time or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Full terms: SMS Messaging Terms.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run these services, each bound to use data only on our behalf: Microsoft 365 (email and calendars), Anthropic (AI replies in the chat assistant), Mailchimp (email newsletters and text messages to people who opted in), and our web-hosting provider. Our LinkedIn integration publishes posts we have written to our own LinkedIn profile; it does not read or store data about other LinkedIn members.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and lead records are kept while we might reasonably follow up and for our business records afterwards. Chat transcripts are kept for the same purpose. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period. Opt-out records are kept permanently so that we keep honouring them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email with the link in any message, or by writing to us.
- Stop texts by replying STOP.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email info@qos-net.com. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA and we honour them for everyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
